CrossFit Playground is extremely proud to be offering CrossFit Kids as of January 1, 2019. Our CrossFit Kids program introduces children to the importance of physical fitness and reinforces healthy nutritional habits.
Our program is divided into two age groups:
Fire Breathers – Ages 4-7
Dragons – Ages 8-12
* A child’s advancement from Fire Breathers to Dragons is largely based on skill over age.
Our Fire Breathers program has played a very important role in establishing healthy practices and movement patterns in young children. We largely focus on building strong core stability, mostly through body weight movement although we do teach Fire Breathers to lift weight. Fire Breathers learn the foundations of olympic lifting as well as many gymnastic movements. For the most part, we encourage this age group to engage in fitness by creating challenging situations and games. Children engage individually, as partners, or as a team. Fire Breathers are largely rewarded for their effort, by their coaches, and their progress. In a world of instant gratification, it is so important to teach our children what you can achieve when hard work and dedication is applied.
Our Dragons program is designed to take our Fire Breathers to the next level. Weight is applied to movement more frequently and the intensity of our cardio elements increase. Our approach to training becomes a little more serious, although we still have fun engaging in challenges or games, individually, with a partner, or with a team. Dragons are encouraged to work well with others to reach a common goal. They take roles in leadership, but also learn to be a team player. They develop confidence in themselves and feel proud of their accomplishments.
All of our youth programs introduce strength and stability methods that are important for injury prevention. So many sports related injuries are caused by kids playing in unilateral sports at high intensity without first developing the proper strength. Though we design our programs to be a lot of fun, we take the foundation building aspect of strength and conditioning extremely seriously.

Sunday – Dragons (Age 8-12) 9:00AM-9:45AM
Monday – Fire Breathers (Age 4-7) 5:30PM-6:15PM
Tuesday – Dragons (Age 8-12) 5:30PM-6:15PM
Thursday – Dragons (Age 8-12) 5:30PM-6:15PM
Saturday – Fire Breathers (Age 4-7) 9:00AM-10:00AM
CrossFit Kids Pricing –
One Time per Week – $40 monthly plus tax
Two Times per Week – $65 monthly plus tax
*CrossFit Kids are only a monthly commitment. Normal cancellation policy applies.
